Dow ekes out gain Friday, but books weekly loss to snap four-week win streak as investors digest earnings

U.S. stocks closed slightly higher Friday, in a quiet end to the first full week of the quarterly-earnings reporting season, as investors watched for signs of an economic slowdown.

For the week, the Dow fell 0.2%, the S&P 500 slipped 0.1% and the Nasdaq shed 0.4%. The Dow snapped a four-week win streak, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
